Accommodation for the Conference to be held at the Groenkloof Campus

The quoted rates are subject to change in 2003. The hotels were not prepared to make the 2003 tariffs available at this stage.  Updated tariffs will be available for the website at the beginning of February 2003. Full payment is required by 31 August 2003 to confirm bookings, as hotels reserve the right to release previously booked rooms after this date.

• A 50% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations 30 days before the event.
• A 75% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations 16 - 29 days before the event.
• A 100% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations 0 - 15 days before the event.

Delegates wishing to book accommodation under Categories A and B should contact Call a Conference. A booking fee is included in the quotation. The rates quoted are based on the current exchange rate and can only be fixed when a booking is made.

Category A: Hotels

Option 1

Single            R810.00 ($101.00) per night, including breakfast

Double          R440.00 ($55.00) per person, per night, including breakfast

All rooms have two double beds with an en-suite shower, toilet and basin, as well as air conditioning, TV, telephone, and coffee-making facility.

Option 2

Single                        R580.00 ($72.00) per night, including breakfast

Double/Twin            R340.00 ($43.00) per person per night, including breakfast

Double rooms have one double bed and twin rooms two single beds with an en-suite shower, toilet and basin, as well as air conditioning, a TV, telephone, and coffee-making facility.

The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service on the hour from 17:00 until 22:00 to Brooklyn Mall, an upmarket shopping mall in the vicinity of the conference venue.

Option 3

Single            R630.00 ($79.00) per night, including breakfast

Double          R390.00 ($49.00) per person per night, including breakfast

All Town Lodge rooms have one double bed per room with an en-suite shower, toilet and basin, as well as air conditioning, a TV, telephone, and coffee-making facility. The upmarket Menlyn Shopping Centre is within walking distance.

Dinner can be arranged at hotels at own cost.

Category B: University Residences

Single            R180.00 ($23.00) per night, including breakfast

All rooms are single but share bathrooms. Bed linen will be provided but guests have to supply own towels. No transportation is necessary as the residences are situated on the campus and a small shopping mall with restaurants is within walking distance. Central lounges and a cafeteria with coffee-making facilities are available.

Category C:  Guest Houses

Several guest houses are available. Should delegates prefer this option, we suggest they contact the guest houses on the following websites:

Transport

Several options for transporting delegates from hotels to the Conference Centre are currently being researched, the outcome of which will be published on the website when the information becomes available.
